Christmas gift guide 2018 (For him)

A Christmas gift guide for travel addicts, like us. Just in time to sweep some great Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. Hope this helps you plan your letter to Santa or decide on what to give other fellow travelers. ¡Enjoy your shopping day!

Tip: don’t get sucked into the discount frenzy. We like making a list of what we really need or want and we stick to it no matter what.

To see some other gift ideas, read our ‘Christmas Gift Guide for Her’. Most of the things in both guides are unisex, so go have a look!

  1. Travel Kit: this small tin includes cleansing face wash, hydrating face cream, one mini-tube of Marvis toothpaste, one mini toothbrush, and five disposable face towels.
  2. Leather Wallet: real leather wallet with lots of pockets to carry everything you need. Even coins!
  3. Nintendo Switch: the perfect way to kill those hours between flight connections and on board… Especially if you buy Mario Cart!
  4. The Mini Bar: eight petite notebooks featuring classic and modern drink recipes. Perfect for someone who likes to host parties everywhere he goes.
  5. The Bucket List Book: a list of inspiring activities all around the world, from bird-watching in Kenya to swimming with dolphins in New Zealand.
  6. Camera Clip: one of the best purchases we’ve made. You attach it to your strap and clip on your camera, so you have quick access to it while also having your hands free.
  7. Best Cameras: the EOS R is the newest mirrorless camera from Canon, which best spec is that it is super lightweight, without compromising quality. The other great option is the EOS 5DIV, the most popular camera within the travel blogger community and Canon’s #2.
  8. Before They Pass Away Book: every year, on our anniversary, we buy a photography related hardcover book. This was this year’s pick, and we’re so happy we have it! All the photos are breathtaking, but the best part is seeing all the unknown or forgotten (and near extinction) native tribes around the world.
  9. Body Shop Fragrance: Nils’ favorite for traveling. It smells GOOD (on the fresh and citrus side) and it’s cheap, so you wouldn’t have a heart attack if it broke between travels.
  10. Camera Bag: super versatile. You can also use it daily to carry your laptop and notebooks.
  11. Sunglasses: this pair from Armani are in Nils’ letter to Santa. We shall see if he’s been a good boy…
  12. Passport Holder: we loved the design. Plus, they do help in keeping your passport intact.
  13. Tripod: super lightweight and very easy to fold, so it’s perfect for travelers. This is how we take pictures together.
  14. Photo Printer: what can we say… we are old school and like printing some of our photos and pasting them in an album.
  15. AirPods: yes, they are comfortable and the sound quality is good, but the best part is that they aren’t bulky!
